A collaboration between Willing and Klopper & Davis Architects, 139 Lake St celebrates the creativity and cultural heritage of its surrounds.

Classic Paddington Style Terraces, Federation bungalows and Colonial Georgian dwellings stand beside steadfast post-war warehouses and confident mixed-use buildings. Gently sloping and tree lined, Lake Street has evolved from a nineteenth-century enclave into a confident urban precinct with an abundance of character.

Set on Perth’s most culturally-unique heritage avenue, 139 Lake St has been crafted with an eye for forever. The design absorbs its classic historical surroundings and answers with gentle curves, highly crafted brickwork and a calm and contemporary silhouette.

Built from brick locally sourced in Western Australia, the building adopts a material palette drawn from the neighbourhood’s memory. Uniquely patterned brick work and lush gardens create a tangible sense of home.

A distinctive design priority is to ensure that the building works in harmony with nature, enhancing the features that naturally define the precinct.

Dramatic metallic features adorn the upper levels providing a counter point to the skyline paired with a calm green colour palette, complementary to its leafy surrounds.
